After a successful recycling training, the Route 360 Solutions Initiative team awarded 30 certificates to youth and women in the Cockle Bay Slum in Freetown, Sierra Leone. The award ceremony, which took place on the 7th April 2026, was graced by our COO, Alusine H. Bangura; Community Outreach and Engagement Lead, Sallieu B. Kamara; Business Development Representative, Mohamed K. Conteh; and other members.
Each of the awarded individuals has demonstrated strong passion and interest in addressing plastic pollution, flooding, and heatwave crises in the community. By honoring and recognizing their commitment to community transformation, we motivate them to do more in giving back to the place they call home.
To ensure they put the knowledge and skills they have gained into practice, Route 360 Solutions Initiative is working tirelessly to provide a mini-recycling facility in the community. This facility will contribute to reducing unemployment and poverty among the community youth and women, as well as plastic pollution, air pollution, flooding, heatwaves, and several other social and environmental challenges the community has faced over the years.
