On March 24th, our team concludes the Re-afforesting Freetown City (RFC) project community engagement at the Leicester community. Over 50 youths, including women, from different parts of the community participated in the engagement. RFC Project Assistant, Mohamed K. Conteh, with support from our COO, Alusine Hassan Bangura, Project Coordinator, Elijah Edwin, and Project Educator, Salleiu Barba Kamara, engaged the participants on various topics, including afforestation and reforestation. The participants were excited about the project and looking forward to the next steps. As we have completed the community engagement, we plan to train four community volunteers to support us in planting 200 trees in their community by June this year.
