On 8th March, 2025, the Re-afforesting Freetown City (RFC) Project Asst. Leader, Mohamed Kickende Conteh, led the Route 360 Solutions Initiative Team and volunteers to the Grafton community to continue the RFC project community engagement on afforestation, reforestation, and deforestation. The event brings together over 50 people, including people with disabilities, from parts of the community. During the engagement, the participants learned about (1) the environmental and human benefits of trees and afforestation, and deforestation, and (2) eco-friendly alternatives to reduce tree-logging. Post-engagement, the participants were allowed to ask relevant questions about the project, and the topics discussed during the engagement. The participants were very excited about the RFC project and look forward to the tree-planting commencing between June and July 2025.
